All units that are deployed to a forward area in OIF/OEF are encouraged to contact us with their wishlist for woodworking tools and supplies.
 
If anyone knows of a deployed troop who would like to get on our mailing list, please have them contact us with their Name, Rank and APO/FPO address for packages. It is also a good idea for them to keep their chain-of-command in the loop for shipments.
 
OEF (Afghanistan) units:
The MPSA (Military Postal Service Agency) has kicked in their contingency ops for all mail to OEF addresses. What sometimes took 2 to 3 months just last year, now can get delivered in as little as a week.
 
We have also happily provided connections to those willing to adopt a unit and wish to send them supplies themselves. Please email us if you wish to adopt a frontline unit. For more info on how to ship, plaese see our how-to videos on sending packages to troops.
 
Since email and web access is severely limited at some FOBs we also recommend using a unit's Chaplain for contact and requests for goodies. The G.I. Woodshop has had a lot of success with getting info and woodworking items to/from the troops through their Chaplains.

We are happy to announce that the G.I. Woodshop is also a regular exhibitor at the Buchanan Markets and Antique Show held monthly at Dallas Fair Park - home of the Cotton Bowl and Texas State Fair.
